After a week of Rain

Rain Rain go away...  And it's not even the "rainy" season!  OMG!  What are we going to do?  Send me your rainy day activities!!!

I guess you could say we've been busy at home.  Daniel hasn't had many weekends off from work so the adventures have slowed down a bit.  Aiden and I have been doing crafts, attending storytime, and hanging out with friends.  This has to be the best part about being a stay at home mom!

Easter came and went so fast!  We took Aiden to the base Easter egg hunt!  He had so much fun!  I think he's growing up way too fast, he didn't need our help finding eggs.  It was a huge event.  Eggs hunts on the half hour for each age group, carnival games, food, and live entertainment.  Easter Sunday we had our neighbors and friends over for dinner.  Even though we had 6 adults over we still had too much food!  O well, the company was good and so was the food.

The Rain came on Sunday and so did the colds.  Aiden came down with a nasty cold/cough/earache, Daniel got the cough and I got a cough too.  No fun!  The next Sunday was the first day we all started to feel better and only a day before Daniel would go on TDY.  So we made for a mini family adventure.

To Naha we went in search of the Toys R US.  And Toys R Us we found.  I know you're thinking how cool, which it was for Daniel and Aiden.  I was a bit disappointed.  I guess I expected more American things. (haha, that's funny).  Daniel came home with these models called Gundams.  I don't know, to me they're space robot things that you put together and paint.  Aiden came home with a PIRATE SHIP!  His new favorite toy.  YO Ho Ho, just like Jake and the Neverland Pirates!  The store in general was pretty neat, but sooo Expensive!!  Plastic Thomas the Trains were like $25!  They had these pretty cool bicycles with training wheels that I was interested in until I did the yen conversion... $170!  Are you kidding me?  We then made our way to Kokeshi street to check it out more.  We found some cool things, but again we will have to visit here numerous times to see it all.  It's a great place to take visitors!!
